ioSafe Demo Wows Journalists, Stings Nostrils

In a good way, of course. Noxious fumes do tend to make one nostalgic, or at least hallucinogenic. Seriously, though: I am impressed.

Last night, we were treated to a night of limo rides, grub, beverages, and burnination by ioSafe. Taken to a secure location in the Vegas suburbs, we watched awestruck as ioSafe's new SOLO backup drive was given the water torture and Bloody Mary witch treatment. Can you believe the namby, pamby lawyers for every convention center and Casino in Vegas didn't like the idea of a little hot box and water in or around the building? The entourages of Akon and Soulja Boy Tell 'em are a much greater fire hazard than a bunch of guys from North-Central Cali. But, I digress.

In gripping chronological order, I'll tell you the tale of two hard drives: 1 doomed to a fiery death; 1 to emerge victorious like Shadrach and Co.

1. ioSafe Solo dropped in a pool of ice cold Vegas spring water.


2. ioSafe Solo retrieved from water, immediately placed in backyard furnace.


3. ioSafe Solo joined by nude Seagate Barracuda drive.


4. GLORIOUS BURNINATION.


5. Both drives retrieved, cooled with water.


6. Seagate Barracuda looks like overcooked nachos.


7. ioSafe Solo drive looks brand spanking new.


8. ALL data successfully retrieved from ioSafe Solo drive.
